FUNCTIONALITY, covered by Pharmacological Development Research and Beauty Care Research aims to ensure beautiful, youthful, clean skin.

SENSITIVITY is the job of Human Science Research. This involves studying customer preferences, sensibilities and feelings and exploring usage, fragrance, colour and beauty techniques to enhance product enjoyment.

SAFETY is overseen by the Quality, Stability and Safety Assurance departments. Their role is to maintain strict safety and quality standards and ensure that what SHISEIDO offers is equally friendly to both the customer and the environment.
